My research takes place at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory in Gothic, Colorado. For my dissertation, I am studying the effects of climate change on plant-pollinator interactions. Specifically, I am looking at how plants and pollinators respond to early snowmelt and frost events, and whether these responses disrupt plant-pollinator interactions. Over the next threes years, I'm going to conduct field experiments in which I manipulate snowmelt and frost exposure to address the following questions: 1) How do plants and pollinators respond to early snowmelt and frost events? and 2) Do early snowmelt and frost events lead to a mismatch in activity periods between plants and pollinators?
