Welcome to my webpage! I am currently the Research Director at The Wild Basin Creative Research Center. As the Research Director I get to work alongside faculty and staff at St. Edward's University to facilitate research opportunities and courses for undergraduates.
My research examines how global climate and land-use changes alter species interactions and what those changes mean for biodiversity and ecosystem services. I focus on pollinators as a model system given their role in the reproduction of 90% of flowering plants and their contribution to an estimated $15 billion annually in crop yields. Because of their importance, pollinators are of great conservation concern due to the direct link between habitat loss and declines in pollinator abundance and diversity. By studying pollinators and plant-pollinator interactions, we can better understand the drivers of declines in plant and animal communities and ecosystem services in order to develop methods for practical solutions for conservation and management.
